IMOLA III Closing Conference took place on the 3rd of March of 2022, twenty-four months after the kick-off of the project.
The cooperation between the European Commission and the different stakeholders involved in the Land Registers Interconnection is a crucial issue to enhance the use of compatible technical solutions and digital formats at national level.
This is materialized in IMOLA III project, which aims to get interoperability of metadata related to the juridical information supplied by ELRD, through the consolidation the semantic model for Land Registry interconnection (LRI).
- The main results of the project are:
– IMOLA I.KOS extended Corpus semantic Land Registers Core vocabulary
– ELRD as a semantic and interoperable artifact
– IMOLA multiuser web platform and web services
The first panel of the day focused on “Digital transformation in Justice: challenges and policies objectives” presented by Daniel Calleja, Director General Legal Services (EC), Adrian Vázquez, EP member and Chair of JURI Committee, Alain Pilette, Deputy Director Justice, DG JAI (Council of European Union) and Jacques Vos, Registrar from Kadaster and ELRN Contact Point.
The second panel focused on “Land Registry Interconnection: build upon the interoperability and harmonization of the Land Registry Information moderated”, with the participation of Gösta Petri, Deputy Head of Unit e-Justice, Chef de File on LRI, DG JUST (EC); Maximilian Strotmann, Deputy Head of Unit, Digital Services, DG DIGIT (EC); José Ranito, European Delegated Prosecutor European Anti-Fraud Office (EPPO) and Pedro Pernas, Land Registrar from Spain and ELRN Contact Point.
We also count with the academic expertise of Professors Elena Ioriatti (Trento University ) and Juan Llorens (UC3M), as well as the experience and vision of IMOLA Partners and ELRA contact points. Jesús Camy, project manager, and Anabel Fraga, technical director presented the results of IMOLA III.
