The Tavolare system has been inherited from the Austrian Grundbuch and is a system of registration valid only in some restricted areas of northern Italy.

The main Law regulating this system is R.D. 28.03. 1929 n. 499; it is the so called Legge Tavolare.

There are many secondary rules regulating specific matters i.e. L.R. 14.8. 1999 n. 4 that has introduced the new electronic data base integrated with the cadastral one replacing the traditional books.

Although the system is based on its basic Legge Tavolare changes in National Legislation about some specific matters have to be studied in order to understand their influence on our system and compatibility with LR principles.
