5th Training Seminar
On September 17, 2025, the fifth training seminar of the IMOLA IV Project was held in an online format, bringing together the IMOLA IV and ELRA members, Pedro Pernas, Pedro Pernas and, the Technical Director, Anabel Fraga. In addition, Francisco J. Gimeno, ELRA Secretary General, welcomed the participants and giving an overview of the day’s agenda.
The seminar studied “The electronic and digital Land Registry in the context of the digitization of the Administration”, focusing on:
- Improvement of the knowledge of the digitization of Administration in Europe.
- Presentation of the IMOLA e-book. Participation of the CCPP and Partners.
- Improvements of the IMOLA webservices
The agenda included the following presentations:
Luis Javier Arrieta, Associate Professor on Civil Law at the University of Navarra and Co-Director of the Chair of Registry Law, presented “The Electronic and Digital Land Registry in the Context of the Digitalisation of Public Administration”, offering an in-depth overview of the digital transformation of land registries, particularly in the Spanish context. In addition, the broader European strategies for digitizing public administration were discussed, and the floor was opened to the audience for questions and discussion.
Pedro Pernas, IMOLA IV Project Manager: provided updates on the Project, outlining the structure and expected contributions to the upcoming e-book. It was explained that the e-book will feature institutional contributions from the European Commission and is ultimately intended to strengthen the European Land Registry.
Anabel Fraga introduced the ongoing work on the Land Registry Vocabulary, including the updated UML model for the IMOLA IV Knowledge Manager and the use of I-KOS to support future comparative legal analysis.
The seminar concluded with remarks by Pedro Pernas, who outlined the upcoming milestones for the project, including the next seminar, further virtual training sessions, and thanked all speakers and attendees for their active participation.
